The Desperate Flight of Hand Solo

The Desperate Flight of Hand Solo is a simple attempt to make a playable experience that is mouse-driven and hectic. You take the role of a spaceship pilot in a perilous situation: your ship's automated functions have failed and you need to manage them with your one good arm. 

Use the mouse to click and drag the Targeting Screen in front of aliens or missiles, then click the Fire button in the lower right to shoot your lasers at the target. Click and drag your Shield Array so that it blocks alien missiles from breaking through your viewport. You can click and drag the Techno Squeegee across splatted bugs to clear them away. Most importantly, grab the floating Fueloids and chuck them into the recycler to charge your warp engines. Without warping, you'll never get home.

At this point, the game has no audio. I might take another pass at the graphics, but it's a playable experience as it so I wanted to give it a home on itch.

12/31/23: v0.81 Fixes the score not resetting to zero when starting a new game and fixes the boss not appearing when playing the stage more than once.
